The Alexis de Tocqueville Library is hosting the exhibition RETURN TO ICELAND by the artist Bernard Alligand from November 15 to January 7, 2024 at the Human Sciences Center.
In his compositions, Bernard Alligand seeks balance between shapes and textures, and uses the material itself as a subject. Nature is at the heart of his work and he approaches it in a perpetual dynamic. Seduced by Iceland, a land of contrasts with wild beauty, he found in this untouched nature a source of inspiration in his creative approach. Reality, impalpable, resonates with a sober and mysterious beauty, sublimated by the carborundum technique.
